Gigabyte GA-AB350M-DS3H (Our Review)

Overall Assessment

The Gigabyte GA-AB350M-DS3H is surprisingly capable for its price and offers users a fair amount of features through the AMD X350 chipset.

Sadly, it doesn’t have any of the hardcore gaming features found on the Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 3.

Supported Processors

The Gigabyte GA-AB350M-DS3H supports 7th generation AMD Ryzen series processors with the AM4 socket. The AM4 socket is popular because it supports Ryzen processors at an affordable price.

Intel fans would love to read our Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro review. The Z390’s a sturdy Intel-based motherboard with slightly more features than the AB350M-DS3H.

RAM

We were chuffed to find that the Gigabyte GA-AB350M-DS3H comes with 4x DDR4 DIMM slots. Despite its price, this board allows users to max the system memory out at 64GB across all 4 channels.

Peripherals

Gigabyte included 4x SATA ports and one M.2 connector. This is great for the average user to connect storage devices, allowing both HDD and SSDs.

There are 4x USB 3.1 ports and 4x USB 2.0 ports. While this isn’t as much as other motherboards, like the Gigabyte B450M DS3H, it’s more than enough for most users.

Graphics

There are 3 expansion slots on this board: 1x PCIe 3.0 x16, 1x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 bandwidth mode), and 1x PCIe 2.0 x1 slot. This gives you the option of adding a graphics card if you don’t want to commit to an integrated chip

Sadly, it doesn’t support multiple graphics cards. If you need a motherboard that does, read our Gigabyte Z370XP SLI review.

Aesthetics

This motherboard is tiny. The micro ATX form means it’s only 9.6 x 8.5 inches, allowing you to fit it into any case. The black and silver color scheme, while unimpressive, is neutral enough to be customized.

If you are looking for a motherboard with more power and more features, you will love reading our Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming review.
