The new Asus PRIME A320M-K is no exception. This compact motherboard, measuring only 8.9 x 1 x 8.7 inches, packs a punch.

With optimized cooling, incredible transfer speeds, and one-stop controls, Asus delivers a motherboard that is not only easy to use, but also comes with 5x Protection III hardware.

The 5x Protection III hardware is Asus’s guarantee that they only use the finest components, excellent circuit design, and exacting standards to create a quality motherboard with durability in mind.

We believe them as Asus has been in the industry since 1989. That adds up to decades of engineering experience in motherboard design.

The Asus PRIME A320M-K is a great, budget-friendly motherboard with no fuss.

Supported Processors

The Asus PRIME A320M-K motherboard was developed to support the popular range of AMD Ryzen processors. 

Ryzen processors are in demand due to their high-performance Zen core architecture. This allows the Ryzen processor to use up to 8 cores. The 8 cores provide gamers with higher processing speeds.

This Asus motherboard also supports Athlon CPUs along with 7th generation A-series accelerated processing units. With the built-in ASUS Fan Xpert, you can rest assured that your system won’t overheat.

With only 2x DDR4 DIMM slots, you can quickly max out the32GB of system memory. The Asus PRIME A320M-K comes with Asus’ Q-DIMM technology. 

This handy feature lets you flip only 1 DIMM lock for easy access when swapping out the memory module. The Q-DIMM feature is convenient when you want to upgrade your memory on the go.

Peripherals

The Asus PRIME A320M-K offers users a standard but reasonable number of expansions and peripherals. You get 4x SATA ports, each clocking in an average speed of 6Gb/s.

There is also the 1x M Key 2242, 2260, 2280 (PCIe 3.0 x4, SATA III) port. A great addition that helps speed up the performance of your system, especially with data-heavy transfers.

To round everything out, Asus included 2x PS/2 ports for older peripherals. It comes with a standard Realtek 8111H Gigabit Ethernet controller and a 3 audio jack.

Graphics

The Asus PRIME A320M-K motherboard offers builders two options to handle graphics. One is to install an APU which delivers adequate resolutions–up to 4096 x 2160 pixels–through its HDMI and VGA ports. You get one of each port on this motherboard.

The more popular option is to use the single PCIe 3.0 x 16 slot. This dedicated PCIe slot comes with Asus’ new Q-Slot technology. 

Q-Slot makes installation and removal of your PCIe components effortless. Just press the Q-Slot clip and the card pops out. This reduces the risk of damaging your graphics card during handling.

Audio

A small but powerful Realtek ALC887/897 audio chip with 8-Channel High Definition audio manages the sound on this motherboard

For enhanced audio, Asus went with Japanese audio capacitors that add a warm, natural sound with excellent clarity.

Aesthetics

This tiny mATX motherboard comes with a sleek black and silver finish. In this case, Asus decided to go with features and price instead of looks.

While it may look bland, lacking extras like RGB headers, the Asus PRIME A320M-K is packed with features.
